Privacy Policy

That is not a summary of a longer policy with exceptions further down. It is the whole policy, and the rest of this page only explains why there is nothing more to say.

What Burnish collects

Nothing.

• No accounts. There is no sign-in, and no way to create one.
• No network. The app makes no network requests of any kind. It works identically in aeroplane mode, because it has nothing to send and nothing to fetch.
• No analytics, no tracking, no advertising. There are no third-party SDKs in the app at all.
• No usage history. Burnish does not record what you touched, when you opened it, how long you stayed, or how often you return. There are no streaks, no counts and no history — deliberately, so that a missed day can never read as a failure.
• No microphone, camera, contacts, location, photos or health data. The app never requests access to any of these, and iOS will never prompt you about them.

What Burnish stores on your device

Five settings, held locally in the app's own storage and never transmitted anywhere:

Every one of these describes the device, not the person using it. They are removed when you delete the app.

Sound

All audio in Burnish is synthesised in real time on your device. The app contains no audio recordings, streams nothing and uploads nothing. Your microphone is never used.

Children

Burnish is rated 4+ and is safe for all ages. Because it collects no data whatsoever, it collects no data from children either.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the date at the top of this page will change with it. Any version that described data collection would represent a change in the app itself, not a reinterpretation of this one.
