Burnish does not collect any data about you.
That is not a summary of a longer policy with exceptions further down. It is the whole policy, and the rest of this page only explains why there is nothing more to say.
Nothing.
Five settings, held locally in the app's own storage and never transmitted anywhere:
| Setting | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Whether onboarding has been completed | So the introduction does not repeat every launch |
| Output volume | To remember how loud you like it |
| Whether to play when the phone is on silent | To remember your choice |
| Motion preference | To remember whether you want the screen still |
| Whether control sounds are on | To remember your choice |
Every one of these describes the device, not the person using it. They are removed when you delete the app.
All audio in Burnish is synthesised in real time on your device. The app contains no audio recordings, streams nothing and uploads nothing. Your microphone is never used.
Burnish is rated 4+ and is safe for all ages. Because it collects no data whatsoever, it collects no data from children either.
If this policy ever changes, the date at the top of this page will change with it. Any version that described data collection would represent a change in the app itself, not a reinterpretation of this one.
